Weekday Preschool at FBCPS

Our warmest welcome to you from everyone at First Baptist Church Weekday Preschool Program. Selecting your child’s preschool is an important decision, and one that will leave a lasting impression as you prepare your child for the future.

Our Philosophy

From the beginning, our program has used the timeless philosophy of teaching the whole child. We believe a theme-based curriculum coupled with age-appropriate activities encourage creativity and allow children to grow as individuals. Our goal of building positive attitudes towards learning cultivates children into becoming life-long learners. We want every child who comes through our doors to feel that he or she is loved and is a special gift from God.

In addition to our philosophy, our program will strive to provide:

• A happy, Christian environment in which the children can grow physically, socially, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

• Opportunities for the church, school, and home to work together in meeting the needs of the children.

• Situations in which the children can achieve, build self-confidence, and become aware of their abilities.

Registration

All registration is on a first-come-first serve basis. Tours of the facility can be scheduled at any time. All students will need a notarized medical consent form, birth certificate, and immunization form #3231 on file in order to complete the registration process.

Curriculum

We use a variety of curriculum resources. This will include, but is not limited to, the Wee Learn Curriculum and the Bible.

Chapel is held weekly for the 3 year olds and 4 year olds. 2 year olds begin attending chapel in January. We use the Worship KidStyle Preschool Edition curriculum for chapel.

All students attend Music and Movement classes each week. Also 4 year olds have Spanish and P.E. Weekly.
