Basketball & Cheerleading

Here at FBCPS we desire to tell as many people as possible about Jesus Christ and what eternal salvation is through him. Through Upward Basketball we use devotionals during practice nights and basic sportsmanship behaviors to help players discover what salvation through Jesus Christ is and how to become a Christian.

Players will be practice only one night a week and play games Friday evenings or Saturdays. Our season is eight weeks long and will be completed with a season celebration at its completion. We very much desire to meet and connect with you and your family.

Basketball & Cheerleading

FBCPS is excited to host our Upward Challenger program this year and we look forward to working with your Special Needs child. Our program is uniquely designed to work with your child to learn and play the game of Basketball and or Cheerleading. We play a heavily modified game of Basketball with multiple coaches on the floor with the kids to assist and guide each game.

We have a long program history at FBCPS for our Challenger program with very experienced coaches and volunteers. Several of our coaches are certified Special Needs teachers who have been involved in our program for several years. Our games and practice times are on Saturdays @11:30. Games begin Jan 4th, 2025. We would love the opportunity to meet and work with your child.

Volunteer Opportunities

Recreation Ministry volunteers play a vital role in creating an environment where fun and faith come together. From coaching and refereeing to helping with setup, concessions, and hospitality, there’s a place for everyone to serve. By volunteering, you’ll not only help provide a great experience for participants but also build relationships and share the love of Christ in a practical and meaningful way. Join our team and make an impact in our community through recreation and outreach!
