OUR MISSION STATEMENT: The Women's Ministry of First Baptist Church of Powder Springs exists for the purpose of leading women to know Christ Jesus as their life by:

• Basing their lives on the Word of God
• Learning to pray effectively
• Ministering to others

"Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.  Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands so that no one will malign the word of God." - Titus 2:3-5

Dear First Ladies,

Your Women's Ministry team has been seeking the Lord's guidance for our new year.  Our ministry here at First Baptist is reaching out to all our ladies and to our community with the love of Christ.  We are thankful for the doors the Lord has opened for us this past year and are very prayerfully seeking His will for 2008.

UPDATES

Thank you for the awesome response for the CPS Christmas Cookie and Target Gift Card donations.  Our Church blessed them with 190 dozen cookies and 35 Target Gift Cards.  What a way to bring in the New Year for the clients at the CPS.

I hope that you all have already caught the "Act of Kindness" bug that is buzzing through our church.  The Women's Ministry Team is already planning many opportunities for you to be able to put all that Kindness into action for the CPS. 

If you would like to do more... Julie Farley is putting together a committee of ladies who would like to plan events for our church to pour out their "Kindness" on the CPS.

COBB PREGNANCY SERVICE BABY BOOTIE MINISTRY

Since we started taking our crocheted or knitted baby booties to the Pregnancy Service last year, 97% of the CPS clients have said they will carry their babies full term.  I would like to believe that we had a hand in persuading these new mothers.  We have made around 150 pairs of booties this year.  Thank you to Gerri Anderson, Elizabeth Cobb, Doris Howard and Linda Weston who have been so faithful.  Other ladies I have met along the way have asked for the pattern.  The Lord's work is amazing when you let Him take over.  For more information, contact Julie Elliott @ 770-499-8521
